Set out from Uvita on a safe, guided boat to explore Marino Ballena National Park. During this 3-hour marine excursion you’ll have the opportunity to see humpback whales during their breeding and migration seasons (Jan–Apr & Jul–Nov). You may also encounter dolphins (spotted and bottlenose), sea turtles, and a variety of coastal birds.
The route visits marine stations, rocky formations and the iconic Whale’s Tail (Tombolo)—a natural sandbar and reef feature visible at certain tides. In the dry season we offer snorkeling stops in protected bays so you can swim above reefs and observe tropical fish. Our guides explain the park’s role protecting over 13,000 acres of ocean and 9 miles of coastline, and discuss local marine conservation efforts.
Because wildlife is wild, sightings cannot be guaranteed; nevertheless our experienced guides follow proven routes and local data to maximize viewing chances.
